CORRECTION WORK
Over time, using different injectors who administer a variety of brands of filler with different techniques can cause filler to migrate or turn into nodules/lumps. Also “trends/fashion” changes over time, and you may not like the shape or size of your lips anymore.
Therefore, sometimes starting over and dissolving the old filler then allowing the lips to heal and administering new filler is the best decision you could make!
Corrective work is becoming a very popular treatment, for any enquiries send us a message on the contact page!
WHAT IS USED TO DISSOLVE FILLER?
An enzyme called Hyaluronidase is injected into the chosen area and causes hydrolysis (break down) of synthetic hyaluronic acid, leaving the natural hyaluronic acid intact.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
WILL ALL OF THE FILLER BE REMOVED IN ONE TREATMENT?
HOW LONG TILL I CAN HAVE FILLER BACK IN THOSE AREAS?
A thorough consultation and intradermal test is carried out prior to the treatment. Once the client is happy with the process and the test shows no sensitivity to the product then we can go ahead with the dissolving. The area is topically numbed so there is little discomfort. The treatment is carried out and full after care advice is given before leaving the clinic. The client can then return a minimum of two weeks post treatment to re-fill if they wish to.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee everything will be removed in one session, due to the possibility of different fillers that have been used and how much product is in the area. Therefore, we advise that people wait for the full results and then assess to see if another session Is needed.
We advise a minimum of two weeks, to allow the body to completely remove the Hyaluronidase from the area, otherwise there is a risk that the new product could also be dissolved.
